1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the AltarHaus website (altarhaus.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. These terms apply to all visitors, vendors, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AltarHaus is an online wedding vendor directory that connects engaged couples with wedding professionals. The platform allows approved vendors to create and maintain directory listings, and allows visitors to browse, search, and contact those vendors. AltarHaus also publishes editorial content including blog posts and real wedding features.

3. Vendor Accounts & Subscriptions

Vendors may apply to list their business on AltarHaus. All applications are subject to editorial review and approval. Approved vendors are required to pay an annual subscription fee of $160 USD, billed automatically at the start of each subscription period. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 7 days before the renewal date. AltarHaus reserves the right to decline or remove any vendor listing at its sole discretion, including for conduct inconsistent with our editorial standards. No refunds are issued for partial subscription periods.

4. Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of all information submitted to their profile, including business details, images, service descriptions, and contact information. Vendors must have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for any content they upload, including photographs. Vendors must not impersonate another business, misrepresent their services, or engage in any deceptive practices. AltarHaus is not responsible for any disputes arising between vendors and clients.

5. Editorial Content & Wedding Submissions

By submitting a wedding or blog post to AltarHaus for editorial consideration, you grant AltarHaus a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, display, and promote the submitted content across the AltarHaus website and associated social media channels. You confirm that you have obtained all necessary permissions from the relevant couples, vendors, and photographers before submitting. Submission does not guarantee publication. AltarHaus reserves the right to edit submitted content for clarity, style, and length. Published features may remain on the site indefinitely.

6. Intellectual Property

All original content on the AltarHaus website — including editorial copy, design, logos, and the AltarHaus brand — is owned by AltarHaus and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from AltarHaus's proprietary content without express written permission. Vendor-uploaded content remains the property of the respective vendors. By uploading content to AltarHaus, vendors grant AltarHaus a licence to display that content as part of the directory listing.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use AltarHaus to: (a) violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation; (b) transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material; (c) scrape, crawl, or otherwise harvest data from the platform without prior written consent; (d) introduce any malware, virus, or other harmful code; (e) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its related systems; or (f) engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Service.

8. Payments & Stripe

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. By completing a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in addition to these terms. AltarHaus does not store your full credit card details. In the event of a failed payment, your listing may be suspended until payment is resolved. AltarHaus reserves the right to adjust subscription pricing with a minimum of 30 days' written notice to affected subscribers.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AltarHaus and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. AltarHaus does not endorse, verify, or warrant the accuracy of any vendor listing. Couples and clients engage with vendors entirely at their own discretion and risk.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AltarHaus does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Third-Party Links

AltarHaus may contain links to third-party websites, including vendor websites and social media platforms. These links are provided for convenience only. AltarHaus has no control over the content or practices of third-party sites and accepts no responsibility for them. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk.

12. Termination

AltarHaus reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account or access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

13. Changes to These Terms

AltarHaus may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered vendors of material changes by email. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of revised terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. We encourage all users to review this page periodically.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York County, New York.
